DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
  • Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
  • Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.
  • Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
  • Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
  • Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.
  • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
  • Recommend new equipment or software packages.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, teleconference, e-mail, or in person.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.
  • Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, to detect or assess problems.
  • Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
  • Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
  • Coordinate software or hardware installation.
  • Good communicator - Able to explain technical things to non-technical people and explain non-technical worker issues to technical people to exact a solution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or direct years of experience in the Computer Systems Analyst area, or a mix of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Office 365 expert Business intelligence
  • Must have experience with data analysis software ,cloud-based management software, data mining software, document management software, process mapping and design software
  • A considerable amount of work-related skill/experience is desired, preferably in a Tribal or municipal government environment.

SUPERVISION:

  • Supervised by the Information Technology Director

SALARY LEVEL:

  • Annual Salary range: $74,297 - $106,600

Applicants will be required to submit to a background check and to a pre-employment drug test.
